For example, if I buy the iPhone, I put my sim card in and I have wifi in my home will I have to pay for the monthly wifi like with a Blackberry?
Wifi is never an extra charge – either its a feature of the phone or it isnt.
What IS a charge is the data plan so that you can browse when out and about, and NOT connected to a wifi hotspot.

You don’t pay for wifi. the Blackberry uses GPRS or other type of Connection with the network provider. the wifi is FREE

no, wifi is free. only thing you will be paying for is your internet at home and a router if you dont already have one.

i Believe you mean unlock. Hacking is a completely different subject. You dont get charged for having wifi or using it. However your plan will most likely cost more so you have that feature.
