iPhone 3GS VS Nokia N97: A Detailed Comparison

June was a huge month for smartphones. Apple released their new iphone 3gS and Nokia began shipping their N97 to the North America. Both phones are GSM models and therefore compete with each other in the eyes of the consumer. From price to features, the app store to the camera this video highlights the differences between the two devices allowing you to decide which phone is right for you.
Just a heads up, in terms of voice quality the phones both are very good and therefore didn’t merit a mention in the video.

The nokia n97 is a really solid phone. I have used a nokia phone all my life. But Nokia has made a big business mistake by not having this phone run on tmobile 3g network. It is difficult to imagine ATT customers who will dump their iphones for the nokia. I cannot buy this device b/c i don’t like ATT. They are not serious going head on with iphone on the same network and selling their device at 7x the price of ipho. That is why their stock will keep plunging. Good device poor marketing strategy.

i like with the iphone that u can take screen shots and as he points out in the video the iphones touch screen is a lot better with the nokia u have to really push on the screen for it to work.. but the auto correct isent really a problem i always had that off on my iphone

when the business dont work out you dont just keep moving to another thing.. you reserch about it and try to make it better.

this guys is biased plus all his apps on the iPhone is free, this cheapass hasnt seen much from the iPhone yet…Anywho ppl are buying 3GS for 7-8bills on eBay. Thus far, iPhone is selling better than N97! Just to show here’s a minority that ‘think’ N97 is better!

Nokia is a powerfull successful company. My first 3g phone was Nokia 6280.. but i must say that Nokia has too complicate phones. Beside Nokia, SonyEricsson is a great company, and now I have 5 phones of SonyEricsson.. but Beside tham iPhone is a very smart and easy phone for using. also designing and pouerfull.
So:
1. Apple iPhone. (the perfect)
2 + 3. Nokia. (the professional) &
SonyEricsson (phone for fun)
4. Samsung (for design)
5. HTC (the sharp)
6. Motorola (the experienced)

the nokia is cool …
the nokia is cool but i THINK i prefer the iphone. i’m sure the nokia is probs more complex & a better phone in terms of complex features but the iphone is more ’solid’ and ‘ developed’ if you get what i mean. i can see that nokia being a fail in terms of faulty units & i rekkon they hve tried SO hard to pack in SO much so people will buy it over the iphone.

I’d rather stick my in a blender than use an iPhone. All these n00bs finally found a smart phone thats simple enough for them. whoopee lets n celebrate. Get a clue, some of us want a phone that may be a bit more complex but allows deeper access to the system. Oh can you get a 3rd party messenger (like icq,msn,aol,yahoo) for iPhone that runs in the background?
