is it possible for the iPhone to get a virus
Posted by Iphone Virus Removal under iphone virus on Wednesday Sep 23, 2009Can you get a virus on the iPhone by going on the Internet?
The correct answer is: No, it cannot. At least not yet and not if you use it properly. Everybody who said otherwise is WRONG.
First of all, it is wrong that there are no Mac viruses. There are hundreds of them. Granted, that’s not much compared to the hundreds of thousands of PC viruses – but they do exist, nevertheless.
Second, it is irrelevant. You can’t run on the phone any random program for the Mac – viral or not.
Third, unless you have hacked (unlocked) your iPhone, it can run only applications that are approved by Apple – and Apple isn’t going to approve a virus.
Fourth, viruses for the iPhone simply do not exist yet – so, obviously, you can’t get one.
Fifth, none of the existing viruses for mobile phones (of any kind) spread via the Internet.
So, don’t worry – you’re safe.
