when it starts to act haywire. but for some reason i have never heard of such thing. but that’s what it would do if it was possible. apple has an immense resistance to viruses and other infections. i doubt you iTouch/iPhone has a virus just restart it and you should be good if not restore it. good luck

No, I’ve never heard of one. Someone would have to develop a virus specifically for the iPod and then make you download it. Not likely.
I’d also like to point out that anyone who recommends you don’t jailbreak has never done it. I’ve had a jailbroken iPod for more than a year now, and nothing has exploded.
